Don Jazzy/Wande Coal War: Keep Quiet & Shut Up, You Are Also A Thief--Shizzi Tells Don Jazzy
Story by Osaremen Ehi James
Yesterday, the social media got busy again with the dirty fight between Don Jazzy and Wande Coal over an alleged theft of intellectual property belonging to the former, used by the latter.
We had reported also yesterday that Wande Coal may land in prison if Don Jazzy goes ahead to press charges against him on the matter.
However, the man who finally completed the controversial 'Babyface' song, Shizzi, who is also Davido's music producer, has reportedly released a statement on the issue. He disclosed in the statement that someone else (ostensibly Don Jazzy) took the credit for the 'Go Low' beat he (Shizzi) made for Wande Coal, which was released under Mavin Records. He said even at that, he didn't make a fuse about it as Don Jazzy is doing.
Shizzi said in his short release that, “I have heard and seen some folks rant about me stealing production credit for Wande Coal’s new single 'Baby Face' and I would like to clarify this issue. I was only doing my job by making the beat for Wande and that’s what I did. I don’t see any reason why people should jump into quick conclusions without taking their time to really dig into the matter for facts.
"Two years back, I remember I created a Demo for Wande Coal's 'Shawty Go Low' and someone else took the credit. I was in shock because I had plans to finish the song with Wande and was hoping it would be released as a single which I produced."
His response may have also indicted Don Jazzy of an intellectual property theft, which Don Jazzy is crying foul about.
